Camp Doublecreek News & Updates

This week, I had an assignment. It's an assignment I don't have very often at Doublecreek. Dan gave me the task of painting a shed.

Leaving a place that's been a part of my life since 1971, was hard! For the last time, I made the trip from Doublecreek Drive to Kelly Lane. As I pulled into Kelly Lane, I realized something. This is home.

It's happening! Our move is upgrading from baby steps to critical mass!

This week, I've spent quite a bit of time scouring our "Walk of Fame", writing down names and dates of Honor Campers memorialized in concrete.

Tuesday September 13th, was a special day! Dan, Rachel, Kim, Mike, and yours truly, gathered at our new home on Kelly Lane.

How can I describe our move so far? If this were a movie, would it be drama? A comedy? A horror movie? A musical? A science fiction? What will it be?

Now it's time to talk about where we're going. It's not like we're moving two time zones away. Actually, the new location is maybe 15 minutes away from our Round Rock location.

Moving Camp Doublecreek from it's long time home at 800 Doublecreek Drive in Round Rock to 3311 Kelly Lane in Pflugerville is a big deal.
